Went on a 2 hour elephant ride through the jungal then swimming with them in the river, riding bare back and being the mahal....priceless!

Tiger Temple

Went to the tiger temple about 2 hrs from Bangkok. It is run by monks and there are lots of animals walking about, including, wild pigs, horses, buffelo and a bear...

Thailand

Have had a blast here! Meeting up with Leish and Jaime was great, sunbaking on the beautiful beaches on koh chang, riding elephants, eating thai food, touching tigers, getting massages on the beach and SHOPPING!!!

Hot and sometimes muggy but loving it all the same. The people here are funny and nice and everything is soooo cheap.

Sad to go but looking forward to going home too.

Athens

Back to Athens for 4 nights. It is nice and clean and quite a big city, reminds me of Melbourne. We realised we had more money than expected so ate out each night in nice places and had lots of red wine!

There are lots of shops to look in, i got hooked on using worry beads which is very claming and relaxing. We went to see the ruins and the Acropolis, and each day mainy walking around looking in the shops.

Better than we expected it to be..... weirding out about going to Thailand and home in 2 weeks.....

Greece and the Islands

Had such a great time in Italy, but ready to move on to Greece and Greek food!! We caught an overnight ferry from Brindisi to Greece, the a 2 hr bus ride to Athens, then a 30 min bus and train ride to the port. A 2 hr wait then a 7 hr ferry to Santorini.

Although we were not there in the high season, the weather was about 23 and a bit windy, the place was still breath taking. Little clusters of white rounded houses on the cliff edges overlooking ocean, a volcano and other little islands.

we stayed at the beach, 40 min from the town and had a great little room with a kitchen and movies, it was very cheap. The beach was dead and most of the bars closed but I could imaging how great it would be in the Summer. All the stray dogs and cats were so friedly, they would walk with us and sleep outside our room.

There for 5 nights then headed to Ios, meant to be there for 4 nights but changed for only 2 nights as it was completely DEAD! not a great atmos but it was Jessies Bday so we made it fun, enjoying the lovely food and wine.

Were going to go to Naxos and Mykonos but heard they were dead to and Santorini was the only island with people and places open. Our ferry to naxos went via Santorini so we decided to jump off and stay there again. Best decision. We stayed in the town for a few nights, wined and dined, went for walks and looked in the shops. It was freezing this time, around 10 degrees and once in SNOWED!

On my bday we went to the volcano and swam in the hot springs, which were not very hot. Had a scary donky rde up the cliff side. We went out for lunch and dinner, i had a really good day.

Then went back to where we stayed the week before cos they had movies there. Saw all our dogs again and the pregnant one had puppies, 6 of them. It was fun being there again playing with the puppies and eating good seafood. One day we hired a 4 wheeler and cruised around the island which was so much fun.

Pub Crawl and the Vatican

Last night we went on a crazy pub crawl with the American girls from our room. We werent going to go cos had to get up early on Monday but they really wanted us to come so we decided to go because it will be our last big night in a while.

Started off at the Spanish Steps, then 3 bars and a club (we didnt go to the club). Free beer and pizza at the first place, made friends with the others, about 50 people. There were a few other Americans, Mexicans, some other Aussies and a couple of French, New Zealand and Canadian. And we got a tshirt!

After we left the first place got free shots at the others and danced heaps and heaps. Everyone thought we were crazy and it was heaps of fun to dance, talk and sing loud with everyone. We ended up leaving at 2am.

The next morning we got up at 6.45, with not much sleep and not feeling very well we walked to the Vatican. One of the workers at the hostel said we need to get there at 7.30 to get in because they close it at 2. So it didnt end up opening until 8.45, we got there at 8.15. When the line started moving it only took 20 minutes to get in. Lucky we went then as the line was probably over a km long.

Inside was unbelievable! The artwork was amazing to look at, even all through the corridoors before getting to the Sistine Chapel there was heaps of stuff to see. When we got to the Sistine Chapel you couldnt take photos so we stared up til our necks hurt and we felt dizzy. Couldnt believe we were standing in there. It is weird to see how everything looks worth millions and millions with marble floors and gold on the walls and ceilings, priceless artwork...then outside the Vatican walls is dirty streets, homeless people and lots of pollution.

We are staying tonight at the hostel we were in first as it is close to the station. Tomorrow we catch the train to Brindisi and stay there just one night to relax before catching the ferry to Greece. It is an overnight ferry and we gotta just sleep on the deck somewhere. Were going to get a cabin but it is 100 euro and deck is only 40. Everyone we have spoken too has done that so it musnt be too bad!!

Big night out

Wow what a night!
It started off drinking in the hostel with a pack of American girls in our room, Greeny is the only guy with 7 girls in the room! Then we headed out to Campo di Fiori where all the good pubs and bars are. Got a beer and saw our 2 Swiss friends from the other hostel. They joined us and then so did a group of Italian guys. There was funny little Indian men trying to sell flashing earings and taking polariod photos of us.

After we moved accross to the Drunked Ship. We danced there, it was playing really good music like Missy Elliot and James Brown and stuff. I was dancing with Jess and looked up and saw Greeny dancing with some guy all serious having a dance off! Was the funniest thing ever, they were in the middle of the dance floor getting right into it and not even knowing they were having a dance off. Greeny ended up winning. Came back to the hostel about 2.30. Greeny bought a packet of fake prawns that cost 12 euro and cocktail sauce which we scoffed down. Fell asleep in the middle of puttingin my ear plugs and Jess looked over the bunk and saw me asleep with a finger in my ear holding in the ear plug.

We met Greeny at the station on Friday morning and came to our new hostel. Not as nice as the first one but real close to the vatican. With Greeny we have been to the Collosium, walked through old ruins, had a big night out tomorrow we are going to the Vatican museum as it is closed on Sundays). Been great hanging out with a mate again, been laughing heaps and being stupid. Spending a bit too much money, but when in Rome!

Today we went to St Peters Basillica. We were just walking there and noticed there were heaps of people. When we got to St Peters Square it was packed with thousands of people. Then after one minute everyone loked up and started cheering... the pope was at the window! It was so cool we had got there just in time. We were laughing! He spoke and sang it was great, we couldnt believe we were seeing the pope! I got a good photo. After we went into the church. Saw the graves of the old popes, the picture here is of the pope before this one, Pope John Paul 2. Inside the church was amazing!

When in Rome....

Well Rome is even more amazing than we thought it would be. There are loads of old ruins that havn't been moved from thousands of years ago, some you can walk through and others you can't. Some have lots of cats in them!

We have seen the fire and water statues from the Illuminati trainl *angels and demons* and they were really cool. Been to lots of squares with lots to see, shops, markets, churchs and really good gelati. Walked past il Collosio which was quite strange, just to imagine what went on inside its walls thousands of years ago!

Our hostel is small, only 5 rooms I think and it is clean and friendly. Have met lots of Aussies there, 2 funny swiss girls and some Canadian girls. Everyone hangs out in the hostel at night and cooks and eats together. Really nice being in a 'homely' hostel again.

We still have so much more to see of Rome. On the weekend we are going to the Vatican and going to check out the Collosium a bit more. The photo of our hands in the mouth of the face is called Bocca della Verita, in Engligh that's mouth of truth. Apparently it is meant to bite the hands of liars.....it bit Jessie but not me!

Florence

Well we arrived in Florence 4 days ago and leaving tomorrow morning for Rome. It is cool here there are hundreds of little markets all over the city, lots of old churches and statues and it is cheaper than Venice. We stayed with Elizabetta from Servas for the 1st 2 nights and she taught me how to cook REAL Italian pasta and also helped me with Italian as she is an Italian teacher.

We have been staying at a hostel now that used to be an old church, it is quite big but not very lively, most people in our 16 bed dorm are asleep by 8.30...losers (but we are in there not luch later).

Been walking round the streets lots, saw the statue of David which was amazing. It is the statue that most represents the human body, and back then, that represented being closest to God because perfection represented God and you found God through the perfection of man.

Yesterday we went to Pisa which was cool, it was so werid walking to the tower and then it just poped up, played hacky sack and ate lunch on the lawn in from of the tower, weird...

Today Jess is at the gallery but I didnt want to pay 10 euro so i went for a walk and come here to the cheapest internet cafe, 1.50 an hour. In Venice it was 7 euro at some places. Really looking forward to Rome now, we have 9 nights there!

We arrived in Venice 2 days ago. Our first view was running from the station to the bus stop and we were blown away. The sun was shinning and reflecting on the water of the canals. It was so beautiful, and we were happy to leave Genova which was dirty and annoying.

We are staying in a camping ground 20 min from the centre and there is a shuttle bus each hour from the campsite. Have our own little cabin, there is a pool, resturant and a bar. Its a cool place for only 12 euro a night, all the places in Venice were 40 euro or more. One problem, heaps of mozzies!

Went and explored yesterday, there are lots of little streets and of course we got lots, apparantley it is inevitable. Everything was amazing, the water streets with gondalas and boats, there are no cars so the air is clean. Lots of touris shops to look in and everything! The food is a bit expencive, even for rolls and we have no kitchen to use so have to buy every meal. But Italy is very expenve in general. Venice is probably one of the most beautiful cities we have been too, but only another 2 more days before Florence.

Missing our lives in Melbourne, less than 6 weeks until Thailand.... Jaimeeeeeee Leishiiiiii

Back to Nice... with a visit to Monaco

We arrived back in Nice and it was a beautiful day. We are here for 3 nights then off to Italy. Staying in a cheap hotel right near the beach. We have been going for walks, doing lots of organizing for Italy and chilling out after our week of work, although it wasn't really work cos it was too much fun.

Nice is very beautiful. The water is clear and aprkling, however there is no sand, only pebbles. Lots of fancy restaurants that we cannot afford and many shops to look in. It is very touristy and there are lots of hotels and built up areas of appartment when you look towards the big mountains.

On Saturday we took the train for 20 minutes to get to Monaco - Monte Carlo for the day. It is independent of France and has been ruled by the same familt since the 1200s. I had planned to find Prince Andreas and become the next princess of Monaco but no luck :( Instead we went to the Musee di Oceangraphic which has a great aquarium with sharks and all types of weird look fish. Didn't go to any casinos but just cruised around looking in the little shops near the Royal Palace.

Monaco was way too built up it looked crampped. There was a harbor with lots of yachts, nice parks and again, lots of fancy restaurants which we walked past, while I was eating my lunch (a plain bread roll and a banana). On Saturday night we went out to a bar where there beers cost 7 euro! Total rip off. Had a real good night. Jess and I met 2 nice French boys so we hung out with them all night, making it home by 5am. It will be our last night out in a while sice Italy is so expencive.

Woofing in the mountains of Southern France

Well we had a great time woofing on a little organic farm an hour up the mountains from Grasse. Only worked 2 - 4 hours a day picking vegies or climbing apple trees or hiking thru the mountains to look for the horses that escaped from the paddock. We spent our spare making food from great tasting vegies, hanging out in our own little flat, playing with the puppies or feeding the bunnys.

Pierre and Danni were super nice, always laughing. He was like a little hobbit in a little hobbit house in a little hobbit village that only has about 8 people there in the Winter! In the middle of the mountains it was unbelievable and the misty fog over the peaks looked amazing on the wet days. Most days it was hot but freezing at night. Happy to have had that experience and will miss the puppies (who we named little boy and little girl). We learnt a little French and drank a lot of tea!

South of France

We have been in Perigeux in the South of France for coming up 6 nights. Staying with Jessies parents and her sister in a fantastic little house in the country. It is fully equiped little house which used to be a stable.

We have been going for long walks in the woods, looking around the little old towns and we went to the big castle where the movie Ever After was filmed. Everything is so good here and a great change from the hostels, bad food and city life. The weather was nice and hot today so we tanned and went for a swim in the pool.

Tomorrow we are catching the train to Nice and staying there for the night before woofing the following week on a farm near Nice. Only have to catch 1 train which is good becquse getting to Perigeux took all day, catching 5 trains and was very stressfull. But atleast we somehow got a first class ticket on one of the trains!

It has been a bit weird speaking French again, kpet mixing French and Spanish on the first day. Had actually gotten used to being in Spain as we were there for just over 3 weeks all up. There ppl are nicer in Spain tho!!

Back in Barcelona

Hi, well we are back here in Barcelona for 4 nights. Staying at a different hostel, closer to the beach and in a sort of hippy area. The hostels good, big rooms and great location but staying in a mixed 6 bed dorm. Had to buy more ear plugs as last night we were sleeping and some of the guys in our room came in turned the light on and started hanging out drinking in there! Ummm..... I think there are a million better places in Barcelona to drink than in the dorm room!!

It is raining each morning and night but sunny and blue skies in the day. It is nice going to sleep hearing the thunder, it is really loud! We only have 2 more nights left here then off to the South of France to meet Jessies parents.

Have now been travelling for 3 and a half months, seems like a long time when we think back on everything we have seen and done and all the amazing places we have been to.

Another week in Tarragona

Well it turns out that the beach bungalow was amazing! Our own little 2 bedroom cabin right on the beach. The days were spent lounging around, swimming, and tanning under the Mediteranian sun.

Unfortunately Jess got sick so I had to spend most days at the beach by myself but I lay in the sun with my ipod, went for walks and swam so it wasn´t that bad.

We ended up staying an extra 2 nights because Jess had to rest, which ment we couldn´t woof. So now we are staying with John from servas for another 2 nights then trying to sort something out.

Barcelona

Well forgot to write about Barcelona.... Such a beautiful city, very touristy though. There were heaps of aussies there. We stayed near a huge st called La Ramblas with lots of stalls, and street performers, very cool. Stayed in a great hostel which was our own apartment and met some really nice people there. Went on a pub crawl, went to the beach a few times and walked around as there is always so many people out and so much to do. Nice weather too.

Saw lots of great Gaudi buildings. This photo is of La Segrada Familiar and it is still being built, will take 100 years all up. We had our massive seafood feast with the best calimaris ever, fish, prawns and LOBSTER!

Had a great time in Barcelona and will be going back for another 2 nights after our time in Tarragona

Tarragona

Hi, well we are now 90 sth of Barcelona in a really old town called Tarragona. There are old ruins and beautiful beaches. We stayed in a hotel for 2 nights which had a great free breaky, then with a guy called John thru servas. His house has walls that date back to 64 a.d. We stayed in his office a few houses down and he has a cat with 3 2 week old kittens! IT was heaps of fun playing with the kittens, they are so cute! We are going to our bungalow 10 min out of town today for 5 nights which will be fun, it is right on the beach. Will try and put up some pics next internet cafe we find, it is really pretty here, feels much more like spain then Barcelona did cos it was so touristy. The water is torquise and the sun is hot but doesnt burn you. Get nice and tanned and Summer is over!

So much to do so little time...

Well we have been in Paris for almost 2 weeks now and it is a very beautiful city. We have been to the Eifle Tour which was incredible, it is so huge and in the night it is lit up. On the hour all the lights start flashing.

Have met up with my friend Tristan a few times, he took us all around the city and told us a lot about French history. We sat in a park that used to be for the aristocrats of Paris, it was weird to imagine all the rich people hanging out in there hundrends of years ago. Again, like we have seen in Holland and Belgium, the buildings are so old with amazing statues on and around them. We have also been drinking at the Moosehead, a Canadian bar which is Tristan's local so have met some of his friends. It is always good to know people in a new city, especially Paris where not many people want to speak English and it is hard sometimes to get by on very little French.

Yesterday we went to the Lourve. The Mona Lisa was awesome, what a beautiful picture. I snuck a photo of it because your are not allowed to take photos in many of the rooms there. We saw lots of great pieces of artwork including many statues such as the Venus de Milo. An ancient Greek statue and one of the most famous of the art of ancient Greek sculpture. It is believed to depict Aphrodite (called Venus by the Romans), the Greek goddess of love and beauty! We also saw many ancient Egyptian works that were thousands of years old and flints believed to have been dated back to 200,000 years BC.

Hi

Well our week in Brussels is almost finished. We have had lots of fun babysitting the twins, they are so cute and well behaved, it is very easy and relaxing. We went to some parks, watched cartoons and played games. We are off to Paris on Monday, got a hotel room for 45 euro a night (for the room) with cable tv and a small kitchen, usually 78 euro a night. Ended up being cheaper than staying in a 10 bed mixed dorm at the hostels! Brussels is a nice city. It has been fun trying to communicate with people who only speak French. We can say parle vu anglais (do u speak English), and some other things.

Holland

Well after our amazing time in Amsterdam we took the train about 40 minutes to the country side of Holland to stay with Eva and her grandma for 3 nights. It is very pretty her, lush and green. Here we have been chilling out, going up the street and cooking! There is the little canals here too, one runs out past the back yard of where we're staying, it's very nice. This is our last day here before going to Belgium, I think it takes about 3 hours on the train. Might come back to Amsterdam for another week after Belgium but not sure.

Amsterdam

Amsterdam is fantastic! Such a great change from London. We arrived in Holland on Monday and met Eva at the airport. Everything was so exciting. We made our way to the hostel and it was a real nice hostel. The beds were big, nice people in our room, it was clean and there was a bar inside with 2 for 1 stellas!

We stayed in the hostel for 3 nights, and went out each night, walking around, seeing all the beautiful buildings and little twisting streets. We have been to the Van Gogh musuem, the mull museum, and outsdie the Anne Frank house.

There are little canals running thru the town with small boats, and the canals meet up so you can sail thru the city. We had such an awesome time in Amsterdam, the city gets cleaned every morning and it was raining lots which was a nice change from being way too hot. Hot weather gets a bit much when backpacking, especially when there's no escape from the heat with heavy back packs.

It's weird with most people speaking in Dutch, but it's really cool to try and work out what they're saying as some of the words are the similar and being around Eva's family, hearing the language a lot helps too.

Last days of London...

Well only 2 more days left here then off to Amsterdam. The time here has been very weird, lots of bad times but also lots of good times. I think we would have liked it more if we'd stayed in a place like Soho which is a lot nicer, cleaner and has a much better vibe than Camden. But overall this has been an experience we'll never forget and to turn a negative into a positive, it has made me a lot stronger. Here are some pictures of Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Trafalgar Sq and other ramdon things.

London

Well we havemade it to London and my god what an effort it was. Our plane left NY at 5pm and landed in Frankfurt at12.30 NY time but in Germany it was 6.30 am, andwe didn't get any sleep on the plane cos watched a movie and wanted to get the food when it came around. and free drinks!

We waited in Germany for about an hr so our plane left at 7.30 (1.30am ny time) then it got into London at 9 London time (3am). We then gotour luggage, changed money and went to the subway, or the Underground or the tube or whatever. Got the train to Leisester sq, changed lines and then to Camden Town, this took about an hr, with heavy packs, jet lagged and super tired. By the time we found our hostel it was 11 local time ( 5am NY timewith no sleep!)

We got into the hostel and it took like 15 min to check in, we were feeling real sick by this time from lack of sleep and jetlag. We walked up 3 flights of skinny stairs to our mixed dorm room and when we got in there none of the beds were clean. so we had to go back down and get the guy, he showed us which beds were ours. 22 pplhad checked out but all their shit was all over the ground and dirty sheets on the bed!

So we got that all cleared up and went to have a shower. The shower on our floor are boys and girls, there are 3 and have grime and gross stuff in a think layer on the shower floor. The shower curtains are riped and so u can see thru, they also blow open if ppl walk past. They are like half a metre by half a metre, so not much room to get dried and dressed after the shower, clothes get all wet. And the toilets are smelly, don't fluch or lock properly and even have cockroaches! YUK! Baby ones so u know they are breeding somewhere lol.

Anyway we ended up getting some sleep, woke up at about 5pm cruised around for a bit then went back to bed at about 11pm. It's cool here in Camden, there are lots of markets and stuff around. It's like Brunswick St but real packed and lots of weird ppl, from old skool punks to rastas. Need to find some work cos we only have 10 pound a day to spend after taking out accomodation expences.

Well I guess we're just used to the luxury apartments and New York lifestyle. Time to go back down to reality, just didn't expect to be slamed that hard.

Woke up this moring feeling refreshed and a lot better about everything, there is heaps to do and see here for free and we're going out this weekend with Ross's sister and her friends so that'll be cool.

Hi, we are now on the west side of lower Manhatten, staying in a beautiful huge apartment that overlooks the Hudson river and New Jersey. Today we sunbaked on the roof garden on the 19th floor and in the arvo caught the free ferry across to Staten Island and got a great view of Manhatten and the statue of Liberty.

Yesterday we went to go to a gospel church in Harlem but the line was kms long so we just cruised around Harlem instead. It is so cool there, lots of nice old architecture and lots of black people said hi to me and called me sister, so it was not scary even tho it's the ghetto. Apparently the Bronx is worse buyt we're noty gonna make it there, so much to do so little time. That night we went and drank in a bar at Greenwich Villagbe to watch the soccer finals, we were going for France. The jugs were only 3.50 and went up 50 cents each hr. Had an awesome night. 3 days ago we spent the day in Central Park which is huge, inside there is a zoo, swimming pool, museum, theatre, an amusement park, ponds, stages, and we saw part of a Disney movie being filmed. Greenwich Village is a fun place to go out, it is heaps like Brunswick St only loads smaller.

Jess's family, who we are staying with, are really nice. We're going out for dinner tonight, and went out for dinner 2 nights ago to a delicious Italian restaurant. We are feeling very lucky to have these great places to stay at, wouldn't be able to have done this trip for this long with so little money without family to stay with. We also wouldn't have been able to do many off the things we've done that cost money.

4th of July

Yesterday was the 4th of July and we were able to go on top of the apartment building which was level 36. We were on an open court and had the most amazing view of the city. We watched the fire works that went for about 30 minutes and were right in the middle, it was really cool to see it all from so high.

Times Square

Hello
Yesterday we went to Times Square to shop and it was so cool! There were lots of people as it was a public holiday for the 4th of July. There are so many shops and billboards that light up. It's where the broadway theaters and musicals are, we're gonna try and get tickets to one at half price. The weather was hot and muggy. For the past 3 days we have been walking and shopping all day, for about 6 hours of constant walking a day. This is a good thing though because in Texas all we did was eat! Hi, well we have made it safely to New York City and it is amazing, here are some pictures of our view from the beautiful apartement we are staying at! It is so unbelievable here, there is so much to do and see. The city is sorta like Melbourne, set out in a grid, lots of buildings and shops but like 500 times bigger!

Hi, well today we went to Anavarz's health club and it was awesome! There are 2 indoor pools and 1 outdoor pool with 2 waterslides which we went on, was heaps of fun! We also both got a 10 min massage for $10 and that was really good. There is a gym upstairs with so many machines and weights so we worked out for a bit and then went in the steam room and the sauna. I never imagined that we would be doing all these expencive things and staying in beautiful homes while travelling, especially with a budged of 40 USD a day, we're so lucky! The change rooms even had couches with a large flat screan TV to watch.

Hi well we are now in Houston staying with Jess's family and it is a real nice change to be out of the hostels. The last month has been heaps of fun and we;ve met loads of cool people but nothing beats staying in an awesome house with large cooked meals. The house is in suburbia, bout 40 minutes from downtown. The houses and the streets look like Wisteria Lane from Desperate Housewives. The houses are so huge and beautiful, I will take photos of the area for y'all to see, it's unbelievable! We are here til 1st July, then off to NYC for 2 weeks where we arer staying in Manhatten. I now have the chance to load up some pics here, let me know what you think!

Hi, The weather is so hot here, in the middle of the desert, just had 2 days in the Grand Canyon, which was awesome. We went in a 50 min helicopter ride and that was one of the coolest things I've ever done. Front seat view, going over the canyon, seeing places and rocks that have been there for over 2 billion years!! Not much to say bout Pheonix, not seeing much of it. Next stop is Tucson, and apparantly it's got more going on than here. It's fun watching movies on cable though, miss just chilling out and doing nothing. Always on the go here, often rushing and stressing over the Greyhound, which is a very shit service, I could go on forever about the trouble os the dog (greyhound lol) but times running out...Peace out xox

Tijuana!!!

Hey

Yesterday we went to Tijuana and it was awesome! Took about an hr to the there cos we had to catch a bus then the trolly down to the boarder and walk across. They don't check you at all when going into Mexico, but on the way out the line was like a km long as they check all your passports and stuff. When we got there it was a bit scary and confrunting, as with Bali you get lots off people trying to get you to bye their things and look in their stores and little hut things. Even little kids come up and try to sell necklaces or chewy but they are so cute! It took about 15 min to get downtown so walked there looking at everything.

There is a lot of poverty however Tijuana is nothing like the real Mexico because it is so Westernized from all the tourism there. Downtown was cool. Jess and I went to a little restaurant and Corona's are only $1 each! Were shared a $3 meal of rice and vegies which was really nice. You also get free chips and salsa. THen a wiater with a whistle came up behind me and was blowing the whistle. He pulled my head back and started pouring Tequila down my mouth. The tequila is a lot nicer there and sweeter. Jess thought I was gonna dry reach but it was fine. Then he wiped my mouth, pulled me out of my chair and lifted me up over his shoulder and spun me around and around to get the Tequila kickin in. It was so funny, I was just laughing the whole time. The only problem was that I was in a skirt cos all my clothes were in the was so was worred that Mexican's would be perving! Then he did it to Jess but when he pulled her chair out her legs knocked the table and all our beers spilt lol.

After lunch we went shopping, then stopped at another bar for another tequila and a cocktail because it's so cheap and it's Mexico! The weather so nice and hot so it was fun just walking around and looking at everything. There are a lot of pharmacys there trying to see you cheap medication. Its legal there to sell prozac and strong pain killers without perscriptions. There were also heaps of signs to sell viagra! We were gonna get some and spike the boys drinks with it at the hostel for a joke hahaha.

San Diego

We are in San Diego and it is beautiful. The weather is nice and hot and the hostel is really cool. It is not scummy and dirty like LA, heaps better vibe and feels more like a Melbourne beach town. Here for 5 nights in total then up to Vegas....

First few days

Hey!!

Well California is not what I expected it to be. Glad to be out of Hollywood, one day was enough. Venice beach is amazing. There are so many things to do and see. Heaps of interesting weird people and the locals are so friendly!

Last night Jess and I had a beer and a banana flavoured hookah pipe at the bar on the corner next to our hostel and we met a group of locals. Everyone skates here so we had a skate with them, right on the beach, and one had a guitar and was singing. We get a lot of ppl come up to us and ask us where we are from, it's good to get a conversasion started. The weather is nice and hot, we sunbaked on the beach for an hour. The sand goes for like 300 metres between the path and the water, the beach is huge!

Tomorrow we are heading down to San Diego for 3 nights. Going to go to the zoo one day and tijuana one day. Then we have decided to go to Las Vagas for about 4 nights to take up some time. Apparently the rooms are really cheap for privates with tvs and bathrooms, here we are in a mixed dorm with only beds and a shared bathroom. We are going to the Grand Canyon after Vegas and will be in Austin, Texas by the 23rd of June so I can see Les Claypool!!!

Hope everyone is well, I'll post pictures when we get to Houston where we can use the internet at Jess's cousins house, because at the hostels it costs $1 for 10 minutes which goes really fast.
